This quick to complete application form is for people with families who are employed as GPhC registered Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, or anyone working in a Community Pharmacy (not hospital), e.g. Pharmacy Dispenser, Cashier etc. The aim of this grant is to provide support to low-income households with essential items for school aged children.
If you meet the criteria and provide all the information requested with your application, we will award a grant of £150 per school aged child, for up to a maximum of three children per household.
This is a limited fund and will be closed once the funds are spent so we would encourage you to apply now as we will be unable to consider grants towards school essentials costs after this time.
Who is eligible for the Pharmacy School Essentials Grant?
To apply for a Pharmacy School Essentials Grant, you must first check that you meet all of the criteria:
- Currently employed and have been for the last six months at a community pharmacy or you are a GPhC registered pharmacist or pharmacy technician
- You’re already receiving Universal Credit / Child Tax Credit for school-age children (aged 4-18 as of 31st August 2025)
- Your household savings/balances are less than £4,000
What do I need to apply?
You will need to be ready to upload onto the application form copies of:
- A current payslip that clearly shows your name, employer and NI number
- Your current Universal Credit statement showing the payment amount, full breakdown (including child element) and your name and address
- If you receive Child Tax Credit then you can provide a pdf of your current bank statement showing your Child Tax Credit entry or your Child Tax Credit statement showing your name and address from Spring 2025.
The most common reason for rejection is that the documents you upload do not show us your employment and/or income-related benefit. Please send us everything so you don’t miss out.
